Why not use a solid wood door and cut it to size? Wouldn't that be more sturdy, safer, and just as insulating as the door you built? Also, what is the size of your door - other than "bigger"?

I used to work for a security service and had a few storage facilities as customers. Once in a great while we would get called to investigate when someone did not leave the lot at closing or there was movement on a CCTV camera. Had to call the cops on more then a few people living in storage units.

For the shower have a rail for shower curtain and than buy a shower caddy organizer. You don't have to apply just a thought to tell customers about to hold there shower items

Did you do any work to the engine or transmission to help offset wear and tear from the extra weight?

This is a very nice product. My only question would be the fitting of a bed/mattress up top in the sleeper area. It doesn’t seem that big up there without a mattress, so if one was up there I don’t think I’d be able to roll over without hitting the ceiling.

It's fine you like burgers well done, but with higher quality 92% lean beef, there's not much fat. It would be juicy if you didn't smash the burger while cooking it. Burgers looked really good!

I've never heard of any storage facility that wasn't *C O V E R E D* in cctv lmfao even the sh!ttiest most impoversihed red state hellhole (Texas Tennessee alabama) storage "facilities" I've used are monitored 24/7 buddy. they knew what you were doing before you even did it. 🙄🙄🙄 and it's extremely illegal no power no water no insulation

Modular battery addresses non-camping use. Dang, didn’t think about it. That solar system is just sitting in the truck not being used. when you can pull out the bluetti and use it around the house. Could be good for those who dont want to mess with inverters, charge controller. Or keep the powerplant in the truck, maybe increase capacity, leave it outside and run the whole shop/garage. Its a generator that can drive. This could be long term/advance choice, the system is less compact like the consumer generator but your can swap panel, batteries, inverters.

I worked for several storage facilities in SoCal a few years back and we not only found but also allowed several people to live, very carefully and quietly in some of the storage units. We had 24 hr access so people didn't really worry if there were other people running around. They were nice people, so we had no problem with them

your truck is really cool you have done a lot of thinking about the design. the use of spare is excellent. and best part about it is no one knows. take care, be safe, and stay stealthy

A small detail would be to put the shower head on the opposite wall so that you have a standing shower over the open floor space. Secondly is the standard complaint I have for DIY conversions you need a lip on every shelf and the possibility to mount bungee cords or nets inflont of all shelfs. All doors and drawers need a locking feature. A question tho, are the eyelets to secure the bike centered on the cabinet or the wheelchuck? Didn't really get video of that part. I really like your build. What are your gross tonnage on the complete build? And have you considered mounting fisheye lenses on the outside? You could hook them to the TV and dash and get a combination of windows/surveillance and backup camera/side view mirrors.

Cameras aren't usually monitored 24/7.... they are more likely being recorded and the video will only be reviewed if they an an issue such as a theft or property damage.

I may have missed it if you mentioned a carbon monoxide detector, but do be sure there is one. This is a fantastic build, the only serious problem here-- and it is a grave problem-- is the lack of a second egress when in stealth mode as required by RV codes-- they are required for good reason. Local AHJs could demand this vehicle not be slept in until that problem is remedied, if they were to notice this vehicle. I'd just use a larger skylight with a collapsable drop-down ladder (this would also improve roof access anyway, which I discovered we needed more often in our RV than I ever would have thought), but there are many alternatives. For example, many work trucks and trailers have a man door on one side of the box or even within the rear door, so even though U-HAULs generally don't have them, these would seem compatible with a stealth mode design to me.

Seen a lot of van conversions, but this box truck has more of a house feeling about it. Love the height and the 6' 5" bed, something else that van conversions don't usually have. A full-length bed.
